We Are Participating in the Sustainable Travel Finland Program (STF)

PolarMax Ventures Oy has started its journey towards more responsible tourism by joining the Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) program, coordinated by Visit Finland. 

This means we are committed to developing our operations in a way that supports the well-being of the environment, the local community, and our visitors. Through the STF program, we are evaluating our current practices, setting clear goals, and improving how we work to promote sustainable tourism – both in daily operations and long-term development.

Examples

• 90% of the companies we work with are located within 10 km of our location.
• 95% of our bookings and invoicing are handled digitally, reducing paper use and emissions.
• During our tours, we respect local wildlife, stay on designated tracks, and minimize our impact on sensitive areas of the Arctic nature
• In the 2024–2025 season, over 120 customers rated our service 5/5 in online reviews.
• We use GPS tracking for snowmobile safety and route optimization.

Local Roots and Collaboration Are at the Core

We operate in the small village of Sinettä, and close cooperation with local entrepreneurs, landowners, and the community is important to us. At the same time, we work with both regional and international tourism partners.

We believe that open communication, local presence, and practical action are the keys to developing sustainability from a small business perspective.
