Premium Snowmobiles — BRP Lynx, Built in Rovaniemi

We ride BRP Lynx Ranger snowmobiles — manufactured right here in Rovaniemi. Stable, powerful, and built for Arctic terrain.

  • Driver: Heated grips and boot warmers
  • Passenger: Heated seat and handlebar grips, optional boot heaters
  • Comfortable suspension — smooth over varied terrain
  • Stable and easy to control — works for first-timers and experienced drivers alike
  • Fuel-injected 4-stroke engine — reliable in extreme cold, lower emissions
  • These are not rental fleet machines. We maintain them ourselves.

High Quality Riding Gear — We’ve Got You Covered

We provide everything you need for the ride — except your own base layers. Show up warm underneath, and we handle the rest.

We provide:

  • High-quality windproof and waterproof thermal snowmobile overalls
  • Winter boots and wool socks
  • Motocross-style full-face helmet with goggles
  • Warm gloves
  • Optional midlayer jacket and pants for very cold days
  • Optional boot and hand heaters
  • Special helmets and anti-fog goggles for glasses wearers

  • Not much — we take care of the outerwear.

    • Warm underlayers: thermal base layer top and bottoms
    • A fleece mid-layer — fleece jacket and pants work well
    • Your physical driving licence (required for drivers — police may check on the trail)
    • Phone or camera if you want to capture the ride
    • The guide has snacks and drinks, but you’re welcome to bring your own

You do not need to bring: outerwear, boots, gloves, helmet, goggles, or any snowmobile gear.

Safety — How We Think About It

We’ve been riding these trails for years. Safety isn’t a checklist — it’s how we operate.

  • All routes on land and ice are scouted and assessed regularly
  • Every guide is trained in snowmobile safety and wilderness first aid
  • Driving instruction and a practice run before every tour — no one heads out cold
  • Routes and pace are always adapted to the group’s skill level and conditions
  • Snowmobiles are fully insured for personal injury to drivers, passengers and third parties, and for third-party collision damage

If conditions change, we change with them. Your guide makes the call — always.

  • Not Included

    • Personal travel insurance (strongly recommended — we can’t provide it, but you should have it)
    • Lunch and restaurant meals (unless specifically stated as included)
    • Alcoholic beverages

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour start time. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are non-refundable.

If your plans change, contact us as early as possible — we’ll do our best to find a solution.

Good to Know — This Tour

Which departure should I choose — 10:00 or 14:00?

Both cover the same route and experience. The 10:00 departure works well if you have plans later in the day. The 14:00 departure catches the best winter light — low sun, long shadows, the kind of Lapland scenery that ends up as your phone wallpaper. If you're flexible, we'd lean toward 14:00.

What's the maximum group size?

Maximum 6 snowmobiles per group. We keep it small on purpose — it's the only way the guide can actually coach you and adapt the pace to the group rather than managing a convoy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a driver's licence?

Yes — all drivers must be at least 20 years old and hold a valid car driver's licence (B category). National and international licences accepted. Carry the physical licence with you — police may check on the trail.

Do I need previous experience?

No experience needed. Your guide gives full driving and safety instructions before departure, plus a practice run on our private track. If you can drive a car, you can drive one of ours.

Can I drive alone or do I have to share?

Each snowmobile seats two people. You can share with a travel companion, or book a Single Snowmobile to drive alone — select your preference at booking. Both people on a shared snowmobile can drive and swap at break points.

Is all gear included?

Yes. We provide full snowmobile kit: thermal overalls, winter boots, wool socks, gloves, balaclava and helmet. Just bring your own warm base layers and a fleece mid-layer — we handle everything else.

How do I get to your base?

Our base is in Sinettä, 20 minutes north of Rovaniemi city centre. Optional pickup from Korkalonkatu 23 is available for 20€/person — add it at checkout. Free parking at the base if you drive yourself.

Can children join the tour?

Children under 140 cm ride in a covered, insulated sled towed by the guide's snowmobile — warm and comfortable. Children over 140 cm can ride as a passenger on the snowmobile at adult price. Minimum age is 4 years.

How fast do we drive?

Typically 20–50 km/h depending on trail conditions and group skill level. Your guide sets the pace — fast enough to be fun, always within what the group is comfortable with.

What is your cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are non-refundable. If plans change, contact us as early as possible — we'll do our best to find a solution.
